how to get candle wax off of clothes
Hiii So l have these suede-y material ankle boots (black) and at a
party l was sitting cross-legged on the floor and a tea-light candle that
was melted to liquid wax got knocked over and seeped under my foot, so the
side of my boot is covered in white candle wax now :( so its a greyish
shiny mess. any ideas on how to get it off? please !
Using ice cudes (or in a freezer as someoe said) is good, or a
hairdryer. The hairdryer will melt it, the ice will be able to crack it
off
get a clean absorbant cloth a hot iron (steam off. this is very
important) place the cloth onto the wax then touch it with the iron. move
the cloth and repeat until wax is removed. works on cloths as well.
put some kitchen roll over the wax and then on a low heat iron
over it the wax comes off on the kitchen roll.good luck
Trick I've used on clothes (not boots) is to hold a piece of
brown paper over the wax and then iron the paper with an iron briefly (not
too hot). The wax then sticks to the paper and comes off the clothes. It is
worked for me.
throw your boot in the freezer for an hour or so. the wax will
harden and you should be able to scrap it off,,Good luck,,
